Premium ripe pu-erh tea cake from the famous Ban Zhang tea region. Known as the “King of Pu-erh”, Ban Zhang tea is prized for its strong qi (energy) and complex flavor. This ripe pu-erh has a rich, thick mouthfeel with notes of dark chocolate, earth, and a sweet, long aftertaste.

Very compact cake, recommend a flatter style pick to remove pieces. Both the tea and liquor have a very moderate smokiness that is very comforting and pleasant with a lovely dark colour. The taste shares the smoky flavour while not being too overpowering and is extremely smooth, does not turn bitter too quickly when steeping. Definitely recommend, one of my new favourites
